Pada saat mau instalasi plugin atau theme yang perlu diunduh terlebih dahulu dari repositori WordPress.org, muncul pesan eror yang menyatakan bahwa WordPress meminta data FTP Credential di localhost pada aplikasi XAMPP.
Detail erornya seperti ini:

To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.

This password will not be stored on the server.

Solusi dari WordPress yang meminta FTP Credential di atas yaitu dengan menambahkan baris kode berikut di file wp-config.php:
define( 'FS_METHOD', 'direct' );Sesudah kamu edit file wp-config.php dan menambahkan baris kode di atas, coba kemudian lakukan refresh.
Sekarang tinggal melakukan instalasi plugin seperti biasa di WordPress, tanpa adanya popup FTP seperti gambar di atas.
